  • Ensure that the Minopex Safety Risk Management System is implemented and maintained on site
  • Ensure that the site complies with the requirements of the Safety Risk Management System (SRMS)

Functional Role:

  • Ensure compliance to all legislative requirements according to Minopex SHEQ Objectives
  • Ensure the implementation of programs and systems across the Minopex sites to create awareness and compliance according to SHEQ objectives
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Minopex Safety Risk Management System to monitor adherence to SHEQ and legislative requirements
  • Ensure that corporate objectives and target are managed, and desired results are achieved
  • Ensure site level objectives and targets are in line with corporate and client objectives and targets and manage it accordingly

  • Address non-conformances according to audit reports by developing and implementing corrective actions across operations
  • Ensure medical surveillance and occupational health programs are implemented, maintained, and effectively managed
  • Ensure all legal appointments are in place, valid and correct according to required legislation
  • Facilitate Department of Minerals and Resources (DMR) visits and audits and actively drive any requirements identified
  • Facilitate and coordinate site certification processes according to ISO standards, (i.e., ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001) to ensure adherence to client specification and organisational standards
  • Continuously analyze SHEQ information to identify problems, deviations and implement corrective actions accordingly
  • Lead incident/accident investigations to determine, report and eliminate root causes according to legislative and ISO requirements
  • Ensure the implementation of SHEQ related training and development to create awareness and adherence to legislative requirements
  • Provide specialist advise to internal and external stakeholders on SHEQ related programs, systems, and adherence

Financial:

  • Manage and control the allocation of funds to ensure adherence to approved budgeted expenditure
  • Assist in compiling the SHEQ budget by providing information based on operational and resource requirements

People Management:

  • Function as a member of a project and co-ordinate project activities or provide input in terms of projects resource allocation
