Problem solving, team work having a unique outlook on certain situations and looking at a situation from all sides and aspects to find the best possible solution are some skills I learnt through Big Ideas
Adaptability is a skill I have learnt through living in many different areas, going to different schools and getting exposed to many different cultures
I have a strong empathy for other people who are less fortunate than I am, I learnt this as I grew up in a more honest society in the Chobe region of Botswana, where people from all walks of life are integrated in one society
I have learnt independence from a young age by being allowed to go fishing on the Chobe river alone, walking to shops through the village, making friends on the farms and in short I have not led a sheltered existence
I have learnt how to interact with customers through working as a part time caterer as well as spending time in our lodge
I have learnt the value of having a willingness to work, setting challenges for myself and not being afraid of trying something new, through working as a part time chef in a catering company
I love to surf on the weekend and even though I am not the best I still love to get out on the water with my dad and try my best.
Another hobby I enjoy would be cooking, I learnt to love it from my dad who has been cooking all his life. I have been helping him in the kitchen for as long as I can remember.
I am very interested in nature and learning about all the small organisms and how they interact with one another. I have been on numerous guiding courses where I discovered Inaturalist, a nature app which allows you to identify almost any organims through the help of other enthusiasts and even scientists.
I am an avid enjoyer of watching rugby and am a loyal supporter of The Springboks and Bishops.
I enjoy the sport of fishing and have recently taken up fly fishing as well.
