At Commercial Merchants I worked on a project to update and maintain a module aimed at improving management of tyres. During this time, I had to learn how the client performed their tasks managing the tyres through the phases of the tyre’s life. I was able to understand their way of performing tasks and implement it correctly on an existing but outdated module where we than updated the module with a new function to optimise the workflow as well as upgraded static reports.




As student at Belgium Campus

A team comprised of 3 members from university competed in an online business management simulation in which we controlled the operation and development of an oil refinery. The simulation starts as a small refinery and it was our discretion how we wanted to upgrade the refinery and how much of what products we decided was the optimal running solution. We used operational research and linear programming to mathematically decide what the best solution was depending on our current refinery. We placed in the mid-20’s from over 1000 teams competing.
