Summary

I am a construction professional with more than 20 years’ experience in construction, erection and fabrication sectors. My career started in carpentry where I have manufactured and installed exclusive solid wood furniture and cupboards and fitted bars and exclusive counter tops. This has evolved to move my focus to structural roofs including steel structures, where I had the opportunity to install a roof for Ellispark, Pick ‘n Pay and Spar distribution centers. My career developed further with concrete slabs in the rib and blocks pre-and-post tension, and cast in situ concrete slabs during the years I owned Trispan. Working with concrete gave me the sense of “life” in construction, where I became involved in civil works and had the opportunity to grow my experience in general building work from low cost developments, ablutions and housing evolving to the international oil and gas refineries in the civil and mechanical engineering field. In Saudi Arabia I worked for AYTB as Civil Superintendent and was responsible for a $5M project constructing two 3750m² Off Grid offices for a major Fuel refinery in the desert with modular buildings as a turnkey project. This has included the civils, concrete works, asphalt, building, sewage, water supply, power, security, fire protection, communications, interior design, staff breakfasts and lunches as well as furnishing, computer networking and board room facilities among various other projects. My responsibilities extended further in logistics management for AYTB staff, vehicles, equipment and access documentation. The construction and installation of the Naphtha and fuel oil pipelines in SASREF refinery plants in Al-Jubail and King Fahad Industrial Port, which included the tie-in and commissioning of the pipe lines, was my main function.
