Jared Berry

As a strong, dynamic and purpose-led leader with leadership experience as Head of House at Edenglen High School, I am proficient in delegating tasks, team leading, and coordinating events. I maintained excellent communication and met deadlines as a committee head and cultivated school spirit through school events while maintaining a high academic standard. I possess effective communication and problem-solving skills, which is evident in my experience as a leader and a waiter at Spur, showcasing my capability to perform tasks with precision and adapt under pressure. I am dedicated to my ongoing education and development of leadership skills that delivers value and effectiveness in a collective or team. I acquired my driver's license in the days following my birthday, further showcasing my driven and hardworking nature to achieving my goals.

In 2024 I had received a merit award for service as a firefighter. I received a merit award for my academics, and a team award for being a member of the catering committee. I was awarded full colours for my participation in swimming. Throughout 2025 I was re-awarded full colours for swimming an was elected Head of House for the year

During my matric year, I had to manage my time with the responsibilities of leadership, education, and personal development. I received an award - full colours - for my grade 11 results for maintaining a high level of excellence in my academics, acquiring 5 distinctions. In my third quarter of matric, I was awarded a bronze medal and a merit award for my academics where I achieved the highest average in Consumers Studies in my grade for that quarter. I remained committed to my duty as a leader, where I was awarded full colours for my determination, hard work, and maintenance of the school's values and image.
