- Preparing management accounts and analysis of fluctuations in the accounts. Actioning of monthly journals for intercompany transactions as related party process and running of daily updates for the accounts on Alchemex application as one of our financial reporting tool.
- To add, I execute reconciliation of investments portfolios for Discovery Insure to align movements and interest receivable as per maturity period. Not limited to the above, through doing Investments portfolio management, for movement analysis, I do inspection of deal date, maturity date, as well as evaluating monthly gains through interest income to be realized in the income statement.
- Moreover, I further prepare monthly headcount reporting for staff budgeting. Raising monthly supplier accruals on SAGE ERP. Preparing of Debtors and Creditors recons for received and paid amounts and match such amounts against our monthly age analysis.
- I prepare accruals to budget per cost centres of the company, in order to check if business is operating as planned. Preparing fixed assets register movement of assets, to determine depreciation, carrying value, as well as armotisation for our intangible assets. Management expenditure reports preparation and analysis for cost centre managers.
- I do action daily business cash management for available funds to cover our daily operational expenditures (OPEX). Preparing of monthly tax schedules to determine
deductible expenses and non-deductible items, to also identify items of capital nature. Preparation of vat output (turnover) and vat reconciliation for SARS VAT201 Return. To draw down a curtain, I prepare and action monthly balance sheet reconciliation for company assets, investments, and liabilities. To conclude, I also assist in preparing the finance pack for our executive committee and governance personnel.
