I always had a lack of motivation and courage to follow my dreams. I thought that I wasn't good enough to achieve great things in life, yet my father always told me that by working hard I could achieve anything. I never really took these words to heart, until he passed away in the year 2016. This made me realize that life is too short to stand around and let your dreams pass you by. Thus in my matric year I set myself a goal, and that was to study engineering at the University of Stellenbosch. By applying my father's words in my daily life I achieved my goal and I am currently studying to become an engineer.
