Job description
To conduct forensic investigations into serious allegations of corruption, maladministration, and misuse of public funds in state institutions, SOEs, and municipalities. The role supports the SIU’s multi-disciplinary approach (MDA) in national, provincial and strategic investigations, leading to remedial or recovery actions and potential civil litigation.
Key Responsibilities (KPAs)
Conduct full forensic investigations on assigned cases across national/provincial levels
Gather, preserve, and analyze evidence—including witness interviews, documentation, and digital data
Prepare investigation plans and contribute to formal investigative reports
Assist in or lead Remedial Action Proceedings (civil litigation actions)
Testify as an expert witness in tribunals or court, as required
Ensure compliance with SIU investigation policies, legal requirements, and professional standards
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team—liaising with forensic accountants, legal professionals, data analysts, and other stakeholders
