Investigate all incidents of a suspected criminal nature and those that involve dishonesty. Include among others illegal mining, theft, misappropriation, bribery, corruption and serious contravention of company policies and procedures. Ensure employees and contractors follow practices consistent with De Beers environmental, safety and health performance and compliance. Conduct all investigations within the legal framework of the RSA as well as company security standards, policies, procedures and disciplinary codes. Produce a detailed investigative plan describing a recommended course of action for an investigation. Follow a formal internal reporting protocol to enable consistent communication to all the relevant stakeholders. Testify in disciplinary hearings and court regarding case evidence and findings. Establish a network of information contacts. Manage security contracts to maximize operational financial performance and to ensure that the suppliers comply with the contract and meet the goals of the contract. managing and recruiting informers.

Gather comprehensive and complete evidence at crime scene related to serious violent crimes. Reconstruct crime scene and identify type and extent of crime committed. Secure crime scene and contact relevant experts (e.g. specialised units, etc.). Search premises and seizing evidence/ exhibits at crime scene ( utilise relevant investigation aids) in conjunction with relevant experts. Identify victims, suspects, complainant and witnesses and ensure that they are dealt with appropriately. Record relevant information on crime scene and compile crime scene report.

Gather comprehensive and complete evidence at crime scene related to serious violent crimes. Investigate serious violent crime related case dockets. Apprehend and process suspects on serious violent crimes related cases. Adhere to Court proceedings in terms of serious violent crimes related cases. Reconstruct crime scene and identify type and extent of crime committed. managing and recruiting informers. In December 2019 promoted to Detective Sergeant and supervise one (1) Detective Constable on serious violent crime unit to ensure quality administration control and data / documentation integrity of the docket.

Compile and administer proper case docket management to ensure an efficient and effective Detective Service Centre at the Police station.
