POLICY AND PROCEDURE ON INCAPACITY LEAVE AND ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT (PILIR)
Receiving and checking accuracy on the applications of Short- and Long-term incapacity leave and also on the Ill Health Retirement.
Processing and doing follow-ups on PILIR applications.
TERMINATION OF SERVICE
Processing of terminations documents (Death, Retirement, Resignation, Dismissals and Early retirement.
Receive documents and verify them.
Terminate on ATS or Persal before sending them to E-gov.
Assist with auditors and provide them with all requested queries.
Arrange Exit interviews for Knowledge Harvesting
Write compulsory Retirement letter and Service Certificate letters to officials turning 65 years or Exiting service.
Assist officials in filling in the termination forms correctly.
Record all the beneficiary form and submit them to GEPF.
Liaise with GEPF to find out if officials have been paid their pension benefit.
Pay leave discounting and Leave gratuity of officials.
Liaise with our finance department and check for official’s departmental debt before submitting documents to EGOV.
Attend meeting with our internal regions on matters involving terminations within the department.
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
Drafting of an advert for line managers
Ensuring that post is advertised as per the specifications matched with the job profiles.
Providing support on response handling for advertised positions.
Making sure that the submitted advert has the signed HR1.
Conducting reference checks and other verifications on recommended candidate.
Compiling files for appointment after the interviews.
