From 2000 until 2024 I was a locum flight paramedic. Both Fixed Wing and Helicopter. Whilst working for Netcare, Mozambique, and SES, Zambia, I flew multiple patients with the fixed wing, due to the distance, especially transporting the patient from these neighboring countries to South Africa for more definitive care. In South Africa I mostly did helicopter flights as the distance was more appropriate and cost effective to fly via helicopter than the Jets, used for outside South Africa

Accomplishments

In 1999 I was part of the Wits Technikon Emergency Medical Care Team. All walks of life, professionals, highly qualified doctors and paramedics entered the Emergency Medical Care Competition. Teams from America did compete in this very prestigious event. The university team was all enrolled students. The student team took an overall Third place. The Netcare 911 team took Second Place, and the American team took First Place. As students we competed against many doctors and paramedics and was honored to receive that Third Place.

I was one of the youngest qualified Advanced Life Support Paramedic. At the age of 21 I had the highest Ambulatory qualification available.

With my love for teaching, I started volunteering at Lebone College of Emergency Care from 2000, and then persued a career on the training side.

I was one of the youngest Deputy Directors in the department of Health. At the age 26/8 I was the Clinical Coordinator overseeing for more than 170 learners as Lebone was expanding the courses they provided.

I completed more than six(6) 94.7 cycling races and earned a second place competing in a Triathlon in 2011
