Summary
I was born in Newcastle and, no matter where life has taken me, I have always been a farm boy at heart. I grew up in Vryheid and went straight to university after finishing school. I initially enrolled in a Design degree, but soon discovered my true passion for video production and pursued it wholeheartedly. During this time, I worked on theatre productions such as Reik na die Sterre and TV series like Donkerland. I never sat still—every free moment was an opportunity to gain experience in the industry.
I come from a close-knit family with two brothers and a sister, all of whom share a love for the outdoors and farm life. My sister recently got married, and one of my brothers has just welcomed his first daughter. I was adopted after my biological father passed away shortly before I was born, and I was blessed with an incredible stepfather whom I consider my real dad—a man I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.
After my studies, I moved to London and worked on set for major international productions such as Star Wars and Mad Max, alongside legendary directors like Steven Spielberg and producers such as George Lucas. Due to visa restrictions, I returned to South Africa and started my own business in Bethlehem. I secured clients such as VKB, producing and managing their marketing and visual content. One of my biggest successes was growing VKB Brokers’ client base by over R21 million in new policies in just one year through targeted video marketing.
Outside of my career, I am a people person with a passion for nature, singing, and music. I am currently working on my first album and love making people laugh—something that has earned me the title of “the joker” in most groups. Today, my parents live in the Free State where they farm with my brothers, while my mother expresses her creative flair—a gift I believe I inherited from her. We are a family rooted in togetherness, driven by values, and deeply committed to loving one another.
