Im working as a Assistant Site agent as part of the structures team for the 2 newly incremental launch bridges for the Realignment of National Road 3, Section 2 from Key Ridge to Hammarsdale Project. Daily responsibilities and duties is as follows:

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
• Perform routine training and attend special events to enhance job knowledge and skills.
• Recorded daily events and activities in site diary to evaluate process and improve productivity.
• Check technical designs and drawings for adherence to standards.
• Create work schedules and adjusted as needed to meet project deadlines and keep shifts properly staffed.
• Identify and resolve potential structural issues.
• Completing basic site costing

As an Assistant site Agent on the Improvement of National Route R63 Sections 15 and 16 from Bisho (km 5.8) to the N6 Bridge Intersection (km 1.0) project I was responsible for looking after the construction of the structures. This included extensions to 5 existing bride culverts, construction of a new bridge and railway bridge extension. Daily responsibilities were as follows:

• Monitoring the execution of work for compliance with design plans and specifications.
• Provide technical support during construction phases, addressing any arising issues with the consultants promptly to minimize delays.
• Identified and resolved potential structural issues.
• Enhanced safety measures by implementing rigorous site inspections and risk assessments.
• Oversaw quality control and health and safety matters for construction teams.
• Estimated materials costs and sourcing requirements for project feasibility.

As a Site Engineer on the N2 Green River Project, I was responsible for overseeing the construction of critical infrastructure, including three major bridges and three minor culverts. My day-to-day responsibilities included the following:

• Monitored the execution of contract work to ensure full compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Provided technical support throughout the construction phases, promptly addressing any issues to minimize delays and ensure project continuity.
• Implemented stringent quality control measures across all stages of the project, maintaining consistently high performance and adherence to project specifications.
• Maintained detailed records of daily events and activities in the site diary, enabling ongoing process evaluation and productivity improvements.
• Managed and mentored junior engineers and emerging subcontractors, sharing industry best practices and enhancing their professional development.
  

As a site engineer on the Port of Ngqura access road project, my role was primarily to look after the lateral slope stabilization. I also assisted with various ancillary works like kerbing, road marking and installation of service ducts. Day to day tasks included the following:

• Checking technical designs and drawings for adherence to standards.
• Coordinating with subcontractors ensuring their work met project specifications as well as monitored their progress towards completion deadlines.
• Manage on-site resources effectively, including personnel allocation, equipment utilization, and material storage to ensure smooth project progression with minimal downtime.
• Created work schedules and adjusted as needed to meet project deadlines and keep shifts properly staffed.
