Hermanus Wessels Ebersohn

Seasoned Rigger and Foreman with extensive experience at Murray & Roberts, adept in rigging preparation and championing safety protocols. Skilled in both technical and leadership capacities, I began my career as a Rigger Ropesman at Shaft Sinkers in South Africa, specifically in Welkom, Odendaalrus, and Orkney, starting in 1985.

In 1998, I took on the role of Rigger Ropesman for Shaft Sinkers in Sedrun, Switzerland.

In 2004, I transitioned to the mining sector, serving as a shift foreman on various shafts for Murray and Roberts in South Africa.

From 2009 to 2020, I continued my work as a shift foreman in Selebi-Phikwe, Botswana, Chililabombwe, Zambia, and Mufulira, Zambia, also for Murray and Roberts.

In 2021, I assumed the position of construction foreman at B2 Gold in Namibia with Murray and Roberts.

Between 2022 and 2023, I worked as a shaft rigger in Phalaborwa for Murray and Roberts.

Currently, I am engaged as a rigger at Ivanhoe Mine in Kipushi, DRC, starting in 2023.
