With a rich 24-year tenure in the Film and Theatre industry, I kickstarted my career after earning a BA Hons in Scenic Construction and Properties from Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London, UK. Simultaneously, I honed my craft as a traditional Boat Builder. Beginning as a Scenic Carpenter and Metalworker for Theatres across London and the UK, my professional voyage expanded globally - leading to working on feature films, TV shows and Olympic Games across Asia, New Zealand and Australia. This variety of projects allowed me to immerse myself in diverse creative practices spanning Theatre, Film, TV, and the Arts. Adept with materials such as metals, woods, fabrics, GRP, and fibreglass, my journey extended into special effects, mastering mechanical engineering and onset pyrotechnics. In recent years, I've been deeply involved in challenge-based reality TV shows, where I design, build and run tasks. For this I manage a full art crew and collaborate closely with directors, senior producers and executives. It's a unique area of the industry - from the research of the creative through to the execution of the build which makes it a genre that I am passionate about. My approach to work is rooted in fostering exemplary workshop practices, adept problem-solving, quick adaptation to change, and infusing positive vibes. I am very experienced in budget management, schedule coordination, workload organisation and crew management.
