Director of projects, developments and management of group's specialists- project managers, design, procurement and logistics teams.

Responsibilities include managing revenue, costs operations, strategy, reporting, resources, staffing and relationships. Managing a high performing team of specialists tasked to constantly enhance guest experience aligned with Singita's vision, brand and individual creative concepts of each Lodges. Implementation and management of systems, department’s contracts and finances. Efficient and cost-effective value group procurement. Ensure successful delivery of new developments and refurbishment projects. Reporting to the CEO

  • Shareholder management (Operation, Board of Directors, Manco and external consultants) upholding brand standards and monthly reporting.
  • Manage Creative Direction Manager, Design room - (sourcing, designing and conducting site visual audits). Ensuring design integrity of the “living brand” in maintained.
  • Steer Group Capital & Developments program
  • Manage Project Managers, ensuring each phase of projects are professionally executed within agreed timeline and key role players are kept informed on progress. (2019 project – In Rwanda $24 M)
  • Manage Procurement Manager, Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse team, ensuring value procurement and harness group buying power. Driving efficiencies , quality and net savings. (Turnover in excess of R85 M p.a)
  • Manage accounts controller and admin team, ensuring all financial aspects of the SDP department as a division of SMC to balance sheet. (AR, AP, Cashbook, Balance sheet and TB)
  • Implement and drive department workflows, accountability and resources capacity to ensure efficiency.
  • ITCOM member driving group systems and IT architecture
  • Manage departments risk profile, including project associated risk, 16.2 OHASA
  • Manage supplier SLA's, terms and contracting, customer rates and fee contracts.
