Wherever I go, I always seem to find success. My passionate, hard-working, energetic and committed demenour makes me a valuable asset to any company, team or organization and as a result I have found great success in a multitude of different areas as seen by my working experience. I firmly believe, regardless of what I do, I can make the most of any situation and bring value in whatever capacity necessary.
I am currently a 2nd year student at Stellenbosch University. I live in Huis Marais Men's residence where I am a mentor, play an important role in res leadership, captain and coach the res water polo and basketball teams, play rugby and hockey, sing in the a capella band and am on a myriad of committees and forums. I plan to continue to grab every opportunity that presents itself and make the most of my time at university.
I gained tremendous leadership and managerial expertise working in this position, and I believe it honed my ability to lead and get the best performance out of people.
This position taught me incredible interpersonal and customer-service skills that made me proficient in interacting with potential clientele. It also forced me to think on my feet and be able to manage high-stress environments.
I started off as a bartender, but quickly moved up the ranks, becoming the go-to bartender for critical events, and important clientele. I learnt important managerial and organizational skills in this position.
I worked as a voluntary lifeguard at Clifton Surf from 2017 to 2023, gaining valuable interpersonal as well as first aid skills. I was selected as a squad-leader in my final season in 2023, and was a senior member of the club, and a trusted lifeguard for the community.
I was in charge of servicing and maintaining a fleet of 6 day yachts, as well as preparing them daily for VIP charter guests. Furthermore, I gained valuable experience as a powerboat operator, as well as in customer service.
