  • Whilst at the employment of Bearing Management Consulting, I carried out assignments that varied from strategy and policy development, process optimization to implementation of black economic empowerment initiatives.
  • I also showed to possess good understanding of the public sector and the relevant legislation, as per the different assignments given.
  • Some of the projects I was involved with at Bearing Management Consulting involved but not limited to: South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
  • The project was to assess the current state of the public broadcaster in the procurement of local radio content, acquisition of international content incorporating preferential procurement and alignment to all relevant legislation.
  • National Department of Public Works (NDPW). The team was tasked with the development of the BBBEE Strategy incorporating partnerships, human resources development and preferential procurement.
  • I was responsible for the preferential procurement and human resources element of the strategy.
  • Supplier Park Development Company (SPDC). Whilst assigned to the SPDC, I was responsible for the development of the entire SCM Function.
  • It was at the SPDC under the auspices of MZM Consulting and Associates that my responsibilities included but not limited to the following: Improve the SCM Policy, Processes and Procedures, Capacitate the Department, Improve efficiencies, Developed the Preferential Procurement Policy.
  • All deliverables were prioritised projects and initiatives that were managed and implemented on an ongoing basis in support of the SPDC's procurement objectives, and this was dependent on policy update and process design phases as noted above.
