Graeme Hoddinott

Leading specialist researcher and postgraduate supervisor with 17+ years experience designing and implementing agenda-setting socio-behavioral science - applied primarily to child, adolescent, and family health. Published 76 articles in peer-reviewed journals, (5-year h-index of 19). Supervised 6 M-level theses, and 2 Ph.D. dissertations (4 more Ph.D. ongoing). Awarded a 5-year EUR500,000 mid-career fellowship in 2022 and principal / co-investigator on projects totaling USD50mil+ in funding.

• Expert member for World Health Organization commissioned review on tuberculosis care for adolescents and young people.
• Member of two "South African Tuberculosis Think Tank" work group core teams - prevention and child / adolescent.
• Content contributor (specialist expert) to the South African National Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Sexually Transmitted Infections 2023-2027.
• Creator and convenor for an M-level module on methods for transdisciplinary health and development studies at Stellenbosch University.
• Leading contributor to cutting edge method / approach innovations in applied socio-behavioral science for health; including on stigma measurement, formative research, qualitative cohorts, and drug formulation / regimen acceptability innovations.
