Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Provide hands-on care to patients who are coming for clinics / admitted in the hospital.
• Perform routine tasks under the supervision of registered nurses.
• Check vital observations and weight. Respond to calls for help and determine if additional help is needed.
• Set up equipment for chores within their scope of practice according to CCHOZ guidelines.
• Store and move supplies ensuring stock control
• Observe patients and report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Develop nurturing relationships with patients. Responsible for linen management in their departments
• Follow proper procedures for lifting and moving patients.
• Increased level of independence by providing daily undertakings that promote self-management by assisting residents in their daily personal tasks including bathing and dressing.
