• Identifying defects during cyclical checks.
• Identifying and advising on non-conforming product issues.
• Inspecting products quality according to SOP's, reporting problems or defects to relevant stack holders.
• Utilizing gauges, measuring tools and leveling equipment to complete in-depth assessments.
• Commissioning of all critical boat functions before it's launch to the harbour (engines,anchor,electrical, rudder and water functions)
• Daily reports/updates for boat status.

• Moulds inspections to check for break outs and cracks before laminating of a product begins
• Inspections of products after demoulding through visual and the use of balsa hammers to identify voids, cracks, scratches, porosity and any other imperfections on a product
• Checks on fibreglass mat being used on a product as advised on the engineering drawings
• Perform infusion vacuum tests
• Report quality concerns to relevant stack holders and advise on corrective actions.
• Quality inspections on finishing of grp products.

Duties included, but not limited to;

• GRP repairs to moulds break outs
• Repairs on fibreglass products for any inspections using pencil grinders,grinders, polishing buff machines and sanders.
• Using different grits of sanding papers to achieve a smooth finish on grp products.
• Maintaining a production schedule according to the delivery cycle
• Reading and executing instructions from engineering drawings
• Hand laminating using rollers and brushes to remove air bubbles
• Dry packing fibreglass mat and consumables and performing vacuum infusion process
