My Role as a Senior Control Room Operator is
• Is to Interpret alarms.
• To analyze computer logs and alarm printouts.
• Be alert and take quick actions to overcome sudden changes in operating status. To Understand the logic of the operation and understand and follow control logic.
• To identify deviation form standards.
• To investigate same and recommend and/or implement corrective actions.
• To record all operational events and data in unit log book / computerized log.
• To perform routine testing and operating of plant.
• To assist the Shift Supervisor in the performance of periodic protection tests. Perform equipment change over according to pre-set schedules.

• Prepare and shut down the equipment properly for maintenance and return them in service after maintenance as per SOPs.
• Inspect records or log book entries or communicate with plant personnel to assess equipment operating status.
• Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs or reports.
• Control the operations of equipment (i.e.) Turbine, condenser, HP & LP heaters, Feed water pumps, HTF pumps, filters) and systems ( I.e. Thermal storage systems, • Steam Generation systems, Balance of plant) and report any abnormalities to the control room operators and / or Supervisors.
