Summary

Experienced in designing and delivering educational content that engages and inspires students, while also actively contributing to research in the field of Machine Learning. Utilizes innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Strong understanding of student assessment techniques and academic support strategies.

I have been working at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) in various academic capacities since 2020, which has equipped me with deep institutional knowledge and a clear understanding of DUT’s Envision2030 strategy. Through my involvement in student support, teaching, and outreach, I have actively contributed to Envision2030’s pillars of people-centeredness, innovation, community engagement, and 4IR-readiness.

As a student who was groomed through the DUT system, I bring firsthand experience of its academic journey, values, and developmental culture. This background enables me to relate authentically to the student experience and to support their academic and personal growth with insight, empathy, and institutional alignment. This dual perspective—as both a DUT graduate and staff member—makes me particularly well-suited to contribute meaningfully to the university’s continued transformation and success.
