Dissertation: "Cybercrime: An analysis of cybercrime in South Africa and relevant legislation."

This dissertation was a crucial exploration of a rapidly growing issue in the country. Given the rise in cybercrime, including financial fraud, identity theft, and cyberattacks- especially within the legal field, understanding the legal framework and its effectiveness was essential. This research not only highlighted the vulnerabilities in South Africa’s digital landscape but also examined whether existing laws, such as the Cybercrimes Act, provide adequate protection and enforcement mechanisms. Covering this topic was important to address the increasing threats individuals and businesses face and to contribute to discussions on strengthening cybersecurity measures and legal responses.
