I have a strong passion for soil biology and soil health, as well as plant health management and optimizing crop yields. I am particularly interested in developing and improving agricultural programs and systems to enhance productivity and sustainability. I strive to continuously grow both personally and professionally, guided by the principle that ongoing development is essential for success. I am an outdoors-oriented individual who enjoys spending time in orchards, and I maintain an open-minded approach, always eager to learn new skills, techniques, and insights.
I completed a volunteer placement at InteliGro, where I gained exposure to a range of key industry stakeholders, including technical agents and crop specialists. During this time, I developed an understanding of their decision-making processes and problem-solving approaches, particularly in the areas of plant nutrition, soil health management, and integrated pest management.
I completed a volunteer placement on a citrus farm with an associated packhouse, which provided valuable exposure to both production and post-harvest operations. This experience significantly broadened my knowledge beyond on-farm practices, particularly in relation to post-harvest handling, compliance requirements, and GlobalGap standards. I gained insight into the entire process, from harvesting and initial handling in the orchard to packing and preparing fruit for inspection and export evaluation.
