Fatima Metsileng M, a young black woman, studied Fashion designing at G.F.D and later studied filmmaking at AFDA. Due to life throwing some curve balls her way she quickly dived into the film industry as a production manager for Edenrage media. As one understands that most work opportunities in the film and television industry are mainly freelance, work is sometimes scares hence one has to keep oneself relevant and keep reinventing oneself. She has worked behind the scenes on various productions such as “The Big Question” by Pandemonium productions, “Women of the Year competition” by The Blue Moon company, Edenrage media. Black butterfly productions an international production company called “Oswanka” which finally aired in the states early 2019. In 2006 she joined The Bomb Shelter productions on their hit series “Zone 14 II” and stayed on at Bomb after the series was wrapped, it is here where she learned the complexity of being a part of a multiple award winning company with several productions on the go all at the same time. Her contract ended and she moved on with Khalahari Pictures for a movie called “District 9”. After a while whilst in between jobs she landed her first job as a marketing manager for a small marketing company Passion Marketing, which was a change of scenery but an absolute turning point for her as she merged her skills of fashion, television production together with her new found love for marketing to create some of the greatest campaigns and activations for major clients. From marketing back to production design, production coordinator, producing in television and theatre, project manager Fatima once again identified a niche in the industry and ventured into artist management and entrepreneur extraordinaire. She has really worked her way in and around the industry behind the scenes and is still an entrepreneur. She strongly believes that titles and positions are exactly just that, titles... you only as good as your last achievement! Wardrobe designer and assistant on various commercials, movies such as Zulu Wedding, and personal stylist to media personalities, her latest offering is a Mzansi movie “Intethelo” by Sayitheni Mdarki. Also married to one of South Africa’s seasoned actors. Whom she also managers among other artists, she is passionate about the industry and the quality of work that is produced. She together with her partner are also involved in correctional services rehabilitation programs which under her company they have mobilized and actions in and around the country. They also created a documentary series called Concrete Jungle-Second Chance focusing on the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-inmate back into society. Definitely not just a trophy wife but a creative with drive and a plight to help other realize their dreams and reach their full potential. She is a serial business woman at heart, from creating garments, styling her clients to chilli maker named “The Chilli Duchess” she is set on building an empire, one way or the other.
