Assembly of Mechanical Systems:

• Assemble major components such as mill stands, gearboxes, work and back up rolls, chocks, spindles and couplings.
• Fit and align hydraulic cylinders, screw-down systems and roll adjustment mechanisms.

• Assemble and fit bearing housings, seals and lubrication lines.

Installation Tasks:

• Assist in positioning and leveling of the roughing mill base structures and foundations.

Start-Up and Commissioning Support

• Participate in cold trails: manual jogging of equipment, checking interlocks and mechanical limits.

• Conduct operational checks and assist in adjustment of roll gaps, cooling systems and guides during mill start-up.
• Perform breakdown maintenance in roll changes, chock removal, seal replacement and bearing inspections.
