I started Ballroom and Latin American dancing while I was 15 years of age. I participated in different dancing competitions an while I was a student at tertiary the  former ML Sultan and Technikon Natal which is now known as Durban University of Technology, I was in the top five dancers who represented the institution in big dancing tournaments nationally competing against other institutions of higher learning
