As a freelance Business Intelligence Specialist for AVA Solutions, I've developed tailored BI reports for:

• South32: Road freight monitoring from Mamatwan to PE/Durban/Saldanha.
• Glencore: Yellow machine efficiency at Lion Smelter.
• Tharisa: Yellow machine efficiency at Tharisa Mine.

• My role as BI Specialist requires me to provide the Jubilee chrome and PGM business with insights by utilising advanced Business Intelligence visualisation tools. The purpose is to enable the business with the info to drive data-driven decision-making around key strategic measures, whereby dashboard reporting maximises value delivered. My responsibilities include:
• 1. Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports for business - production, SHEQ, HR, engineering, logistics, finance & technical departments.
• 2. Working with the business to understand their data and reporting needs.
• 3. Set up daily, weekly & monthly operational reports.
• 4. Working with internal and 3rd party data centers to obtain process and business data.
• 5. Preparing data for use in Power BI (ETL, aggregation, appending).
• 6. Working with team to develop, expand and maintain SQL DB.
• 7. Utilising Power BIs advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
• 8. Training and educating internal stakeholders on the use of Power BI.

• I assumed 2.6.1 legal appointment as production engineer over Windsor SA Plant 6 (15 000 ton per month met grade chrome washing plant), and Plant 7 (1 000 ton per month foundry grade chrome washing plant). Responsibilities as production engineer include:
• 1. Ensuring safe operation of process plants and ancillary services within my geographical area of responsibility.
• 2. Effectively managing production team, ensuring adherence to MHSA safety standards and enabling a culture of excellence.
• 3. Ensuring strict adherence to production work management principles to obtain maximum plant throughput.
• 4. Conducting research and pre-feasibility studies to improve process efficiency.
• 5. Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports to line manager.
• 6. Assisting production team leader with metallurgical advice during troubleshooting.
• Projects:
• 1. Installation and commissioning of primary crushing circuit (jaw crusher, scalping screen, conveyor system) for Plant 6. This project reduced the operational expense of the plant by removing the requirement of having all ROM pre-screened.
• 2. Development of Jubilee DWOR and BI systems - metal accounting database and reporting system for company's chrome and PGM business units.

I completed intermittent vacation work at Chemstof (Pty) Ltd, a chrome mineral processing facility, over three years. Total work experience of 20 weeks.
