  • I assumed 2.6.1 legal appointment as production engineer over Windsor SA Plant 6 (15 000 ton per month met grade chrome washing plant), and Plant 7 (1 000 ton per month foundry grade chrome washing plant). Responsibilities as production engineer include:
  • 1. Ensuring safe operation of process plants and ancillary services within my geographical area of responsibility.
  • 2. Effectively managing production team, ensuring adherence to MHSA safety standards and enabling a culture of excellence.
  • 3. Ensuring strict adherence to production work management principles to obtain maximum plant throughput.
  • 4. Conducting research and pre-feasibility studies to improve process efficiency.
  • 5. Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports to line manager.
  • 6. Assisting production team leader with metallurgical advice during troubleshooting.
  • Projects:
  • 1. Installation and commissioning of primary crushing circuit (jaw crusher, scalping screen, conveyor system) for Plant 6. This project reduced the operational expense of the plant by removing the requirement of having all ROM pre-screened.
  • 2. Development of Jubilee DWOR and BI systems - metal accounting database and reporting system for company's chrome and PGM business units.
