I am a dynamic Scientist with knowledge in environmental issues which are mostly related to water resource, which is guided by national water act. I also have knowledge about National Environmental Act (NEMA) which also deals with biodiversity, and waste disposal acts. As a dynamic Scientist, i have knowledge on using in R statistics, Primer version 7, CANOCO, SPSS, and Arch GIS software.

  • Uploading riverine biota (fish and macro-invertebrates data to Esri Arc GIS app.
  • Reviewing Environmental Impact Assessment application in the Inkomati Usuthu Catchment Management Areas.
  • Monitoring the diversity and abundance of biota (e.g. fish, macroinvertebrates, and vegetation).
  • Assessing the condition and availability of fish and macro-invertebrates habitat in rivers.
  • Analyzing and interpretation fish, macro-invertebrates and vegetation data in relation to water resources.
  • Specialist input on water use authorization applications (e.g. Section 21C & I) received by the IUCMA.
  • Specialist inputs on biomonitoring reports submitted as part of water use authorization conditions for compliance monitoring and enforcements purpose.
  • Contribute to the co-operative governance of water resource in the Mpumalanga province by attending forums such as wetland, crocodile, komati, usuthu and sabie-sand forums where water quality and biomonitoring data are presented to stakeholders.
  • Participating in the reserve determination studies in the Olifants and Inkomati Water Management areas by collecting riverine biota.
  • Training interns or new employees on areas of technical expertise and compliance issues relevant riverine biota data collections
  • Wrote research papers, reports and summaries regarding the impact of anthropogenic activities on water resource
  • Ensuring that reports provides scientifically and managerially relevant information for National Aquatic Ecosystem Management.
