As a Verification Manager and the youngest SANAS appointed Technical Signatory in the country, I am the final step in the process to assure accuracy and completeness. A team of Senior and Junior analysts report into me and hand over audits for review and sign off. Main focus in the Wholesale and Retail and Mining Sectors.

This involves relationship building, problem solving and solution finding roles for large and blue chip entities including Massmart, Anglo American, Harmony Gold, Discovery Limited and Hollard to name a few.

My role also includes new new business development and tender engagements with Top Management to ensure we are building relationships and maintaining clients - my passion is people driven.

Conduct high pressure audits for blue chip entities preparing for their SENS announcements. Running a team of Junior Analysts to conduct thorough verifications complying with legislation and aligning with internal ethical and quality controls.

Relationship driven role focused heavily on repeat clients and retaining a portfolio of large clients whilst regularly reporting into a reporting into a Verification Manager and Top Management.

Grunt work research, discovery and preparations working well within a team to conduct thorough, detailed and accurate audits ready for review and sign off.

Focused on team work meeting deadlines and becoming competent across the different business sectors within the industry.

As my final year of studies went from face to face to virtual during the COVID pandemic, I found myself with free time and hunger for experience. I joined the Honeycomb Intern programme to assist and gain vital experience within a corporate environment at the young age of 21. Joined a team focused on the retail and wholesale sectors dealing with audits for companies such as Pick n Pay and Massmart.
