A hard working and enthusiastic young man who desires to take on any challenge that presents itself. I am looking for a position whereby I may gain experience, as well as learn and enhance my skill set. I completed a leadership course on critical thinking and communication in 2018. I have since won 4 awards at the Journalism Achievers Awards at DUT in 2022, have completed a mini- dissertation in my 3rd year of university and have collected a total of 25 distinctions out of a possible 33 in my years at university. Over the past 2 years I have managed to gain experience freelance writing at Salaamedia, news anchoring at Durban Youth Radio and social media managing for Lael the Label. The different work environments helped me learn and hone my skill set. I am a committed Multimedia Journalist with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, which I use to ultimately meet deadlines. I am adept at incorporating feedback and digital storytelling, successful at working efficiently under great amounts of pressure and dynamic story pitching and I am tech savvy with a good understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook and Tik Tok. I also possess a decent following on Instagram and X, with the intentions of growing my other platforms.
