Vibrant, driven, and organized Physician who brings order, warmth, and balance to any team.
I thoroughly enjoy any clinical setting, and I thrive in the high-pressured but extremely rewarding environment of travelling medicine.
I am constantly seeking to evolve as a healthcare professional; so I welcome new challenges.
In the role of Cruise Ship Physician, I grew exponentially as a healthcare professional.
Being at sea, I mastered comprehensive history-taking, examination, and accurate diagnoses of patients. I was then able to execute treatment plans that are patient-centered, specific, holistic, and ensure that the patient is satisfied.
While practicing maritime medicine, I scrupulously maintained an upward academic trajectory. I have upskilled in my bedside manner, note making and blood work.
I often take on the role of educator for my team members, and while I enjoyed growing as a leader at Carnival, I am ready to leave on an excellent note in order to pursue new seas.
At Yuva, I delivered an assortment of Intravenous treatments for a wide range of high-end clients, in the comfort of their homes or businesses.
While at Yuva, I also took on the role of social media manager and mainly created educational content.
I thoroughly enjoyed working at a surgical GP practice based in Mitchells Plain. This job brought with it a challenge of dealing with multiple patients with psychosocial issues, as well as complicated medical histories.
I utilized a computer-based system to take notes, comfortably dispense medications, and seamlessly provide counseling and empowering information for my patients.
I continue to carry the soft skills and technical skills I learned into my future roles.
I worked as an Emergency Medicine Medical Officer (EM MO) within a private hospital. We consulted with a group of four EM specialists.
Our institution, MD Inc., was extremely academic, and we engaged in teaching on various insightful topics twice a week, and we were also constantly bolstering our skills by actively running through clinical scenarios.
The hospital hosted a multitude of specialists in fields such as general surgery, and this strengthened my ability to stabilize, clearly discuss, and refer patients, and furthermore, to be more discerning about which definitive management is required for each patient.
I saw a variety of cases, such as complicated orthopedic ones, pediatric ones, and high-impact trauma cases. Each case was investigated by me in a manner that was precise and effective, in order to ensure that the patient received optimal care.
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and took away a world of knowledge and confidence in my abilities.
