- I am a self-motivated, experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator with a diverse range of skills in both the public and private sector, within the boiler / mechanical / petrochemical / power generation / pulp and paper industry. Skilled in value engineering, cost management, project estimation, construction cost control, proposal compilation, contract administration, cost engineering and knowledgeable within the NEC & FIDIC Contract Conditions.
- I am able to work efficiently, both independently and as a team player, although currently working individually I have in the recent past worked on major projects with a team of QS’s, Jnr QS’s and cost clerks all reporting directly to myself.
- I demonstrate integrity, persistence and confidence in all that I do.
- I have the ability to not only add significantly to the position, but also to the environment of the company for which I work.
- I am hard working with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- I am a fast learner, hardworking and have the ability to multi task.
- I have a vast technical knowledge of the Petrochemical Pipeline Industry and able to manage multiple aspects simultaneously. Each contract that I have worked on has been unique no matter how similar the scope of work was. This has allowed me to be exposed to all aspects of Construction and thereby achieving valuable knowledge. Working abroad, in Africa, has proved to be extremely demanding and required great amount of understanding of local laws, especially the importing and exporting of goods.
