  • Funding Curve (FTP) Construction/Book Ownership and Structure
  • Liaise with Country liquidity risk and ALM managers to ensure that all relevant businesses are transfer priced according to the Transfer Pricing policy in a consistent, transparent and fair manner

  • Investment mandate for the bank in both Local Currency and Foreign Currency – Onshore & Offshore
  • Develop and Implement Strategies to manage Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) through Structural Hedging Programs, predominantly on the FCY Balance Sheet
  • Management of the Bank’s Liquidity in both Local Currency (including maintenance of Regulatory Cash Reserve Requirement) and Foreign Currency
  • Liaise with FI/DFIs to raise funding for the Bank
  • Work towards achieving ALM Income targets for the Bank
  • Interlock sessions between Finance, ABSA SA Treasury on STP (Short Term Plan/Budgeting exercise)
