My recent project in SALGA was to manage the rolling out of Small-Town Regeneration Programme and Professional Development Practitioners throughout all nine Provinces in South Africa. This included development of terms of reference, short-listing of service provider, appointment of suitable service provider, developing Service Level Agreement and manage the project roll-out its terms of payment schedules, reporting on key milestones and assessment of product deliverable against set criteria. The key deliverable here was the translation of policy directives that talks to the nexus of Economy, Spatial Development and People. It culminated in an Inaugural National Conference of Small Towns that was held on the 22 – 23 October 2015.

I have been privileged to have led a country project under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this was through project that I managed on the writing of a book- Leading Change. The contributors to this work were international scholars who have world experience in working with the United Nation under Human Habitat. The project culminated into a launch at the World Urban Forum in Malaysia.

Through this work, I was privileged to have been part of international events in Japan and China respectively. It broadens my horizon and a recognition I received from Human Habitat which is an agency under the United Nations.
