  • Networking: Through attending the Chamber of Commerce Inetwork with local businesses and mange to recruit Volunteers to get on board to assist the Home financially.
  • Good fundraising programs: I manage to change the Home's budget from deficit of close to R1 Mil to positive one and organized a Cycle challenge from Nigel to Durban.
  • Good marketing program: By creating a Facebook page I gave the house more exposure and for donations to help and provide for the elderly. Through Facebook I communicate direct to the public and the needs of the Home/Residents are made known and for the public to get more active. Events are also publishing on Facebook that is very effective.
  • Good multicultural understanding: When I started at my current Home in Polokwane I changed my office by having an open door policy and by doing that I created a trust culture among the staff members. A better understanding and respect of different cultural groups were created.
