Stock value managed at Transnet was R94 million with approximately 5000 line items whereas stock value managed at Franklin Electric was R 64 million with approximately 29 000 line items. Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements; producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Planned the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organising special requirements for certain stock, such as fragile products. Delivered and fulfilled objectives and directions from the operations headquarters. Ensure that all production targets are met. Actively participate in production planning activities. Liaised with service providers, production teams and planners to ensure adequate stock for production activities; also had to plan for special instances, e.g. fragile stock. As Logistics Manager - provided updated reports in terms of engineering changes related to products to Business Manager, stock losses, material shortages, month end sales and also delivery of goods to customers. Responded to and dealt with customer communication by email, fax, telephone and monthly meetings. Participated in weekly stakeholder meetings to provide progress updates on SLA agreements.
