Personal Statement: I am a high school educator with twenty one years experience in teaching Mathematics, Physics and Physical Sciences up to grade 12. I am currently the head of mathematics and physical sciences departments in my school in South Africa. I have been appointed to this role since 2016, which is the year I was awarded a “Teacher of the Teachers” award. I am a compassionate, empathetic, committed and enthusiastic educator who always exhibit practical pedagogical content knowledge in a variety of practical competencies. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my professional demeanor to make meaningful contribution to any schooling discourse. Academic achievement and social growth are my key focus points in educating children who will make meaningful contribution to society.

- Coordinate Grade 8 – 12 biblical nurturing and fellowship sessions for the boys in the school
- Coordinate departmental meetings and report the progress of individual teachers through class visits and lesson evaluation
- Keep inventory list and order consumables when required for the Natural Sciences department
- Coach volleyball for the Grade 8 – 12 learners
- Control and moderate all departmental assessments (prior and post moderation) and assist teachers to streamline their teaching when required within the curriculum framework

- I completed the assessor's and moderator's courses which were a stepping stone for me to be the right candidate to moderate the Mathematics and Physical Sciences assessments in the school and at ieb (independent examination body) level
- I became the Mathematics cluster leader for Johannesburg South for Grade 12 teachers in, This involves leading a team of 30 mathematics teachers in portfolio moderation in preparation for regional and national moderation
- I was appointed by the Independent Examination body to be the regional moderator of Grade 12 mathematics school based assessment portfolios
- I coordinate Matric (Grade 12) study camps every year in September in preparation for the Matric (Grade 12) final examinations
