I am a very diligent and committed individual, once I put my mind to something I make sure I do it properly. I am disciplined and dedicated to my studies. A University qualification is extremely important to me. I believe this is the fundamentals to a prosperous career and a brighter future. I am a passionate worker, I take pride in what I do or accomplish. I always believe there is something to learn in life every day and that there is always room for improvement. I am a logical and analytical thinker, I believe there always needs to be a plan behind a successful project/objective. For a group project we had to conduct an Investment Analysis for Shoprite Holdings and Anglo American to evaluate and determine how share prices were impacted by events. Our group was split into 2 groups consisting of 3 people per group. We were given an X amount to invest in the different stocks and had to create a diversified portfolio between the given stocks. My role in this project was to conduct market research in order to determine the movement or price of the stock. I needed to monitor and keep abreast with the financial market and do research on financial indicators affecting the share price. At the end of the project we had to present our findings and show the methodologies applied when investing and how we financially benefited by selecting the correct portfolios. I had to present factors and events that negatively impacted the share price given the research done on this project

Building an apartment was a new environment for me to project manage and I spent time researching suppliers and obtaining quotes before making the final selection of who I was going to appoint to do the work. I had a small budget to work with and a timeline to complete the project. The building project was scoped and needed to be completed within 6 months which I successfully achieved.

This project exposed me to multi-skilling and ensuring plumbers, electricians and builders working times were coordinated and scheduled according to the project timelines. I had a small budget to work with and needed to be creative in sourcing the best prices through multiple channels. Like any project there are setbacks due to many contractors not delivering on time and I needed to create solutions and problem solve any obstacles that prevented me from delivering on time. My role in managing the project was to coordinate when contractors needed to be onsite, ensure that the raw materials were delivered on the required day and contractors were working according to the timelines. I needed to inspect the quality of work before signing off on job cards and paying suppliers.
