I am a 44-year-old male with more than 20 years of experience in the public service. My experience extends from clerical work, administration and middle to senior administration, and management in the public sector. Apart from my formal employment I am also community oriented and part take in community projects and structures. At this level I have gained experience in crisis intervention; complaints administration, community development, research, public participation; stakeholder’s management, events planning, training, facilitation and administration. I am a cross-trained government official with a keen interest in development, community work, governance and administration; My employment contract recently ended a Facilities Coordinator at the Beaufort West Municipality. For the past 10 years to date, I have worked in and with metropolitan, district and local municipalities, at different levels varying from junior management, middle managing and partly senior management. I adapt easily to different environments and I am fluent in speaking, reading and writing in three languages Afrikaans, IsiXhosa and English). I have good interpersonal, communication, mediation, problem solving and listening skills. I work under pressure and achieve the intended outcomes. I am a critical and strategic thinker, a staunch development and transformation enthusiast with tested managerial skills. I possess good research (data collection and data presentation), analytical and report writing skills with a sound theoretical and practical background in governance, Public policy and development.
