For our 3rd year software engineering module we were required to work on a project provided by an independent company, in my case it was Electrum. We focused on software engineering with Agile methods and worked on a mobile-supported virtual queue, my role was full-stack development between the backend (Java and MySQL) and the frontend (Mobile application using React Native.

For our Computing and Society module, we are working on a project with collaborators from the Pharmacy department at UWC, the project has a strong emphasis on co-design, and I have learnt a lot about requirement elicitation, prototyping and the intricacies of working with collaborators from different fields who may have limited knowledge regarding software development.

Skills Attained:

• Consistently met project deadlines by effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks according to importance.
• Analyzed proposed technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• Streamlined development processes to increase efficiency and reduce production time.
• Collaborated with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
