At BG Engineering, I work as a hands-on mechanic, primarily involved in performance modifications and complex engine builds. The workshop specializes in Lexus V8 engine swaps into Ford Rangers and similar high-performance conversions. My responsibilities include:

-Assisting in engine removals and installations, particularly V8 swaps.

-Performing mechanical diagnostics, teardown, and rebuilding of engines.

-Collaborating with experienced engineers and mechanics to learn advanced automotive engineering techniques.

Upholding workshop safety standards and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

Continuously developing my mechanical knowledge and skills with the goal of transitioning into more technical engineering roles.

I began my mechanical journey working under Anton, an experienced independent mechanic, where I learned the core principles and hands-on skills that built the foundation of my career. This role was crucial in developing my confidence, discipline, and passion for automotive work. Key areas of experience included:

- Learning the basics of engine disassembly and reassembly.

- Assisting with routine services, fault diagnostics, and small engine repairs.

- Gaining hands-on experience with tools, components, and workshop safety.

- Understanding the fundamentals of timing, torque specs, and mechanical precision.

- Shadowing and learning directly from an experienced mentor in a real-world setting.

- Performing supervised work on various vehicles, both petrol and diesel.
