I volunteered at Brainy Birds, a rehabilitation center and home for over 300 parrots.

My everyday responsibilities were to clean and replenish food and water, clean cages, and interact with the birds.

I prepared large portions of mixed fruits, nuts, and seeds in the mornings for certain birds, and mixed peas and soft corn for the rest.

I had a special bond with these intelligent and emotional birds, and I love all kinds of birds.
