Balancing financial (budget control) to ensure adherence application and compliance of policies, practices, standards, procedures and methods.
Ensure that Org Unit performance measures are aligned with Group-level targets, policies and procedures.
Contribute and give expert inputs towards the writing of the training manuals and operating procedures.
Knowledge of Supply Chain, planning, Scheduling, sales, demand facilitation and data management environment.

Support of the process engineering strategy with respect to meeting production targets, providing technical support and input into daily assurance processes.
Ensuring that Sasol Operations Rhythm and Assurance (i.e. PDR, pre-scheduling, scheduling, SMOS and STP) meetings are happening as scheduled.

Operating tissue making machine.
Making sure that all operating parameters are within the limit.
Doing quality checks on the paper such as caliper, brightness, tensile strength, softness and basis mass.
Supervising pulper operators.

Making sure that the tissue that goes out of tissue manufacturing is of good quality.
Responsible for safety in the tissue manufacturing.
Checking levels of all chemicals used in the tissue making process.

Conducting mineral processing tests work on lab and pilot plants.
Data control and compilation of technical and laboratory reports.
Responsible for monitoring and preparation of reagents.
Involved in the team of researchers for plants optimization, commissioning, sampling and data collections.
Sample preparations and crushing, milling, physical separations, leaching and floatation.
Operating various sections of pilot plants-milling circuit including cyclones and flotation circuit ensuring that the plant is stable and operating at set parameters.
Plant demarcation and housekeeping.
Responsible for water treatment plant (savmin project in Randfontein)
Analyzing samples for sulphuric acid concentration in uranium electrolyte solutions

Responsible for the process, quality control and testing of soaps, detergents and fabric conditioners.
Testing reactor samples for saponification, detergents and final toilet soap.
Testing raw materials such as sulphonic acid from sulphonation and silicate plant respectively.
Preparation and organization of Bill of materials of all products.
Testing crude and distilled glycerine.
Operating soap (saponification) and liquid plant processes.
Daily report writing.
Updating and writing of all SOP's used in the laboratory and process.
Preparing and standardizing of all standard solutions used in the laboratory
Testing of incoming raw materials.
Making trial batches.
Testing market samples and reporting to R&D department.
Preparing monthly reagents costing for the laboratory.
Identifying hazards and taking corrective measures.
