Projects

Antibacterial agent 2024-2025, Synthesised carbon dots–AIS/ZnS quantum dots nanocomposite with antibacterial and photoluminescent properties; evaluating its efficacy against cariogenic oral bacteria and exploring its potential as a diagnostic material. The carbon dots are derived from a medecinal south african plant called combretum erythrophyllum known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties., Florescent sensor 2023, Synthesized N,S co-doped CQDs for fluoride sensing in toothpaste; enhanced selectivity and visualized sensing pathways. Employed solvothermal synthesis and optimised doping ratios to achieve strong selectivity toward fluoride in competitive environments., Fluorescent sensor 2021, Synthesised and characterised eco-friendly Citric acid-based carbon quantum dots for caffeine detection and quantification. Demonstrated high sensitivity and reproducibility in complex matrices, promoting sustainable sensor design for food chemistry
