As an outgoing person and recovering addict I value clear communication, integrity, honesty, vulnerability, open-mindedness, willingness and being present in each moment to enable my full focus where it is needed. Attitude is important to inspire others to buy into a greater vision by encouraging visions within themselves.
Team work makes the dream work.
Leadership and Inspiring
undefinedHALO - Hoedspruit Animal Outreach
As a team of volunteers we served the community by educating them on animal ownership and providing them with animal health care.
My weekly role was crowd control and dipping. I was responsible for dipping animals after they received vet care and check-ups.
I was also responsible to ensure order in the midst of chaos, with up to 6 vet stations and 120 dogs running around and enjoying life.
The owners of these dogs where primarily primary school children and I was inspired to see their love for these dogs. Also the responsibility they took up from such a young age left me pondering. As the months went by we saw significant improvement in animal health condition and more communities getting involved.
Jahara Recovery Centre
While spending 13 months in Jahara recovering from psychosis and addiction, I learnt Emotional Intelligence and the importance of; self esteem, support structures, wise counsel, open-mindedness, willingness, vulnerability, humility, healthy confrontational skills, healthy boundaries, journaling and surrendering the outcome.
I grew as a person, I made an honest and fearless moral inventory, I realized the truth and acknowledge my character defects and I humbly ask a loving and caring God to remove my character defects from me.I learned how to connect to myself in thoughts and emotions, how to process my emotions and thoughts and healthy responses.
Jahara truly helped me to accept myself as who I am.
The winning recipe to Thrive in life.
