I have experience in a Institute of Mining Research Analytical Laboratory as an Assistant Laboratory Analyst, having been mainly stationed in the Forensic Chemistry and Mineral Analysis Department.
I am a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Forensic Science upper second Class holder having majored in Chemistry and Physics. As such Analytical Sciences have always been my area of interest and I believe this opportunity will provide the necessary expertise, knowledge and resources in my quest to make a contribution to the scientific community.
During the internship program I was afforded the opportunity to work with the Systems Manager in troubleshooting the LIMS employed by IMR This experience provided an appreciation of the importance of team work, good communication skills and conflict resolution in a professional set up. Owing to my time at the analytical laboratory I gained resilience, dedication and the need to go the extra mile where deadlines needed to be met. As a result I learnt how to work under pressure whilst being thorough and accurate.
I believe the exposure, qualities and eagerness to learn that I bring to the table will be a great addition to this institute
