Cody Greenfield

I am a very hardworking and respectful young man. I have a passion for leading ,and being involved where change is needed. I enjoy working with people and hearing their views on certain things. I lead by three principles :

1) Effective communication

-I learnt how important this principle is through Mrs Gordon's leadership workshop where we were paired up with someone and we were giving the instruction to relay steps on how to draw a simple picture. Through all the shouting no one was able to successfully draw the image.

2) Open-Door Leadership

-I learnt this principle from when i was in Grade 8, I saw all these 'big' 'scary' people who i ought never to speak to , besides greeting. I later realised after they had a conversation with me, that they really not one to fear but rather one to speak to and receive advice from. It is crucial that the juniors feel entitled to approach the mentors as our job is to make them feel included.

3) Service to others

-I aim to reward those and make people feel seen. Those who have put their hands up and participated in inter-house activities means a lot to me as a leader as it is a step in the right direction. Those who look neat and follow the rules deserve recognition as we are only as strong as our weakest link.

I aim to inspire the learners but most especially the younger ones and i hope to learn and develop my leading skills.

-  Played u14A,u15A, u16A and xmen rugby (Winter sport).

- Played u14B, u15B, 16B and thirds waterpolo (Summer sport).

-Played u14B football (Grade 8 term 3)

- Received 70+ for terms 1 and 2 of grade 11 as well as 3 distinctions between the two terms.

-I aim to higher my standards a lot more, more specifically Math's and Physics.
