Clarissa Carsten is a premier professional in the facility, event management, and business industry. With a diploma in Conference and Events Management and a Public Relations certificate, she has over 35 years of experience in professional administration support, project management, and events management. Throughout her career, Clarissa has worked on high-profile events attended by presidents, national ministers, premiers, consular generals, senators, and individuals from all walks of life. Her expertise led her to join the Western Cape Provincial Government as an Events Manager and later as an Internal Communications Manager for Africa at IBM South Africa. As the owner of Umfana Conferences & Events and co-Managing Director of International Convention Solutions (ICS), Clarissa successfully managed the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre for seven years. She also transformed a farm outside Springbok into a 4-star graded guest house and venue facilities.
